run android apps in windows without graphic card
As the title says this article explains how you can use android apps in windows pc even if you don’t have dedicated graphics card. In fact if you want to run android games and apps in windows pc then you have to download & install a software called “BlueStacks”. But it needs minimum of 2 GB of graphics card to run android apps. Hence people see “graphics card error” while installing it, if their system doesn’t meet the required criteria. So here as a solution to such types of problems, we have brought to you an edited Beta version of BlueStacks which can be run fluently in pcs without having graphics card.

Download & installation:

For downloading the BlueStacks Beta 1 you can go for any of the several links provided at the end of the post or you can simply download it from here.
After downloading install it by double clicking on it. It will take upto 2 to 3 mins to be installed. Once installed correctly it will be ready to run any type of .apk(android apps) file.

NB: While using it just make sure that your internet connection is active. Though it will not consume your Data while running but still it requires an internet connection to get started.
Now it’s time to play with some of the apps.

Features of BlueStacks Beta:

Here you will find three app stores provided to download apps and games from. They are 1Mobile lite, Getjar & Amazon App Store. Though it doesn’t provide Google playstore, but the 1mobile is an exact substitute for it. Because you can find all those apps in 1mobile store which are in google playstore.

Along with that it also comes with some popular social media apps like facebook, twitter etc pre-installed. Also you can use various apps for news & others like Hoffington posts, world newspaper, stumbleupon, Pulse, wikimobile2 etc.

It has Evernote, Feedly, Officesuit Pro, DropBox, Bloomberg etc under tools category with which you can read & edit documents, use cloud storage, make notes & do many more things.
It comes with many exciting applications like WhatsApp, Saavn, PicsArt Viewer & like this.

One of the interesting features of it is the search option, which simultaneously searches in all three app stores mentioned above for any search query.

But this version of bluestacks is restricted to certain extent as it is a beta version which usually is available for testing purpose only. So though we don’t have any information from its developers for further release of full versions, but this is for sure that this version can be a perfect gofor for light users.

Restrictions:

As we said it is having certain restrictions of use.
  1. Any app downloaded from external source may not run & ask for graphic memory.
2.All the apps from 1mobile or getjar may not play well, so we recommend to download only those apps which are mentioned in its menu and those which are shown at the right coloumn as suggested apps. We are pretty sure that these apps mentioned here will run smoothly.
suggested android apps to download

For example:- If you install WhatsApp downloaded directly from the 1Mobile store then it may not run at all, but if installed from the link given under MESSAGING category, will run perfectly.

3.For gamers it is not an option at all, because it can’t even play medium level games and asks for dedicated graphics memory.

4.The number of apps & games supported is very very few. That’s why we said it can be an option for light users.

In brief we can say that this software is only an answer for those thousands of queries on internet asking for how to install bluestacks without graphics card, but according to usability we can’t rely completely upon it. Running BlueStacks in PCs with dedicated graphics card can never be substituted with this beta version.

How to use google maps without internet

use google map without internet
The title though sounds invalid, but it’s true. You can use google map to view map of any place even without internet simply by using this trick. Google maps offline becomes necessary when you have to go to some rural places where telecom or wifi network becomes very poor or somewhere where your ISP is not providing good internet service. To know how this stuff works go through these simple steps.

Here we have discussed procedures for iOs & android (Gingerbread, ICS, Jellybean & Kitkat).

In case of iOs the methods are quite similar to that of in androids so here are the steps.

For Android versions 4.0 or above (ICS, JellyBean or kitkat)

google maps app offline for kitkat

Step-1: A smartphone with google map installed & active internet

For this you must have a smartphone with google map app installed or else you can download it from playstore. And make sure that you have the google map of latest version (i.e. 8.0 when the post was written) installed.

Step-2: search for the location & save

Now search the map or location that you want to view offline later. When the map loads completely in the search bar type “OK Maps” or say “OK Maps” by just tapping the mic icon & then save the map.

ALTERNATE WAY:-

Once you find the location to be saved hit the profile icon just right to the search bar, scroll down & save it for offline use.
Once you save, you can zoom in & out to save it accordingly too. But if the area is large then you will be promted to zoom in, give a name to that area & then save.

Limitations:

  • Each saved map lasts for 30 days. After that it is automatically erased to clear your memory.
  • In offline mode (without internet connection) navigation is not possible. Only you can view the maps.
  • In case map size is huge, while saving it, it may show “It can not be saved”. Then you have to break the map to small pieces and then save every portion one by one.

For Android 2.3 GingerBread users:-

use google map without internet in android
Open the google maps app, go to options, hit “more” & then select “make available offline”. Position your map & hit the “Done” button. Here the limitation is the map to be saved can’t be >1mb which is not a case in case of higher versions of android.

    Last words:

Though using google maps online is far better than that in offline mode but still it is of great use for them who travel a lot. It becomes very essential while travelling to a completely new place. If you liked this article then share it with your friends and don’t forget to comment. Z Launcher for Androids for free download

    Posted by K. Swaviman
Nokia (an independent unit of Nokia, not sold to Microsoft ) has recently released a Launcher App for androids called "Z Launcher.". This is one of the Best Android Launchers of all time to download. This Launcher is a pre-beta version and compatible only with smartphones (not tablets) having android version 4.1 or higher. This comes with an amazing feature called “Scribble” means to draw the first letter of the contact name you want to call or text or first letter of the name of the app you want to use & the launcher will bring a short list of contacts and apps in your mobile to choose from. And this is the reason behind its naming “Z Launcher”.

You can call it a “predictable launcher”, because the more you use this launcher, the more it knows you as well as your needs. After installing this, like other launchers it will also show the time, date & upcoming calendar event on the home screen. But what makes it special from other launchers is it learns the apps that the user uses at specific time of the day & also the persons that the user contacts on specific times of specific days & places those apps & contacts on home screen at that time when you need them really. So you don’t have to swipe for a long time to use any app or to find out your favourite contact. The more the user uses his smartphone with this launcher, the better it gets in predicting the needs of the user at right time.

For example- if a person plays temple run while at the restaurant or while travelling to his home then for that particular time duration of those specific days, it will show the temple run app on the Home screen. Likewise if someone calls his friend every night after dinner then it will show his/her contact every night at that particular time on home screen.

With all these happy features, over all it is a worth downloading app. But one thing to remember is you will not get this at your play store. You have to download it from Z Launcher’s Official Web site or if not possible from torrent files. Just register with your google account and you will be able to download.

    Disadvantages:

Another limitation of it is being a pre-Beta version (though the company has assured to launch the global and updated version soon, but it is yet to come) it is supported in some specific handsets only such as Google Nexus 5, Samsung GalaxyS III, S IV, S V, Moto X, Sony Xperia Z1 & HTC One. But don’t get upset. We got to know from the feedbacks of some of our readers that it also works with LG G3. Though this phone is not listed in the Z Launcher’s website (i.e. not officially supported) but still it allows the app to be downloaded. So just land on their site and give it a try. Most probably it may work on yours too.

If it didn’t run well with your device then we have got some other launchers for you which will definitely do nearly the same job (though not scribbling), namely Aviate and EverythingMe Launcher. These too come with the prediction feature. I would recommend Aviate than EverythingMe as I got a good user experience with it than the other. Use it and share your experiences with us.

If you have anything to share with us then please comment.
